Shannon McCarty-Caplan (she/her)
CEO, Marketing Strategist
Shannon is a builder - of strategic plans, growth strategies, processes, frameworks, and most importantly - relationships. She built her marketing foundation at Symantec and VMware before moving into leadership roles at Trend Micro, LOCALiQ (Part of the USA Today Network owned by Gannett) and Red Hat (an IBM Company).
Her passion for helping businesses grow started in middle school while helping her father with the family's small business and has continued into her 20+ years in high-tech marketing. Shannon is a known problem solver who dives into any challenge with a smile on her face. She loves nerding out on data to drive her decision making. Her adaptability in times of change puts others at ease and helps teams thrive during transformation.
Shannon has a BA in Journalism from the University of Arizona, is Certified in Pragmatic Product Marketing, Media Relations and is a trained Public Speaker. She lives in the San Fernando Valley of Los Angeles and spends her free time with her family and volunteering with nonprofits.
Dr. David McCarty-Caplan, PhD, MA (he/him/el)
David is a researcher, educator, writer, and consultant with over 10 years experience designing and implementing research projects, program evaluations, policy analyses and training curricula related to organizational capacity, diversity, inclusion and impact. He specializes in applying culturally responsive, equity-focused methods of analysis to examine complex social and organizational challenges and produce data-informed suggestions for action that can help individuals and organizations realize their potential and maximize the impact of their efforts.
David supports clients with quantitative research, program evaluation and organizational analysis, and thrives when he can help drive organizational and policy change with complex research studies.
Emily McMullin (she/her)
Content Strategist & Publicist
Emily has over a dozen years of experience as a publicist, specializing in lifestyle and retail public relations. Her accomplishments include successfully launching new products, spearheading public relations campaigns, generating press coverage, and cultivating relationships with the media. Before working with McCaplan, her roster of internationally known clients included Tommy Bahama, Sanrio and Kat Von D Beauty.
She has a BA in Journalism, with emphasis in public relations from California State University, Northridge.
Emily is responsible for maintaining the integrity of our clients' brand identity through a variety of platforms including PR and websites.
